BRAMS FAQ
When I try to install BRAMS I get the message "Installer was interrupted". What does this mean?
This is usually caused by running the installer from a network path, or a path with spaces. Copy the MSI file to your C: drive and run it from there.
How do I uninstall BRAMS?
You can either use Add/Remove Programs or run the MSI Installer to remove BRAMS.
Can BRAMS be set to use a different language and currency?
In the future we *may* build this ability in - for the moment BRAMS is specifically for the UK market.
I have a good idea for an addition to BRAMS - Will you include it in an update?
Quite possibly! Send us your idea and we will give it our full consideration.
When I check for updates it says there is an update available. I am worried that I might lose all my setting if I download the update.
Your settings will remain completely intact. The update only replaces the executable BRAMS file, none of the configuration files or database.
Can I keep the database on another pc and use other installations of BRAMS to access it?
Yes. BRAMS is fully network capable and the same database can be used by multiple versions of BRAMS provided they all have read/write access to the database.
The installer said it could not update some DLL files because they are protected by Windows
This indicates that the correct files are already present on your system. BRAMS will install normally if you simply continue the installation.
When a booking is confirmed on the on-line web system I get the following error: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046' Permission denied /olb/complete.asp, line 47. What causes this?
This error is caused by the file 'bookings.txt' on your web site not having WRITE permissions set. Change the permissions so that web users have WRITE permissions to this file.
